National Women's Day
National
Women's Day is a national holiday of solidarity of women of Turkmenistan.
It is similar to International Women's Day and Mother's Day. It is celebrated
on March, 20th.
Turkmenistan
began to celebrate this holiday in 2000. Our President decided to give
one month's salary to all the women who works and to give presents to
all the girls ofTurkmenistan. It is the tradition in our country to
give presents and flowers to women and girls on this day. Some families
celebrate National Women's Day by going to theaters and concerts. Others
prefer to invite guests and stay at home.
It is a very nice national holiday which everyone likes.
