The Novruz Holiday
Every
year on the 21st of March we celebrate Novruz Holiday. Novruz means New
Year's day by Muslum Calendar. This is the time when day and night are
equal. By this calendar March 21st mark the beginning of spring. Women
cook the traditional dish "Semeni", which is made of sprouts
of wheat with some flour and granulated sugar. People put their new clothes
on. They play different national sport games and go to large public celebrations.
Young people play, sing, dance, swing and meet guests.
Bazaars are opened in many places. We can buy sweets and different national dishes there and listen to national songs and music.
