Good Neighborliness Day

people are very peaceful and hospitable. There is Good Neighborliness
Day that we celebrate on the 7th December. This day reflects one of
the most beautiful traditions of Turkmens. Neighbors are very important
for us, they are the part of our lives and have a great meaning in our
hearts. There are some Turkmen saying about neighbors: "Neighbor
is the friendliest person to you", "The eyes of a neighbor
are the eyes of all people", "The ears of a neighbor are the
ears of all people", "The tongue of a neighbor is a tongue
of all people". Turkmens think that neighbors are watching them
not only in this life, but they can witness in the other life too. So,
we must be good neighbors to each other and we will have happiness in
all our lives. Turkmen people say that human relations are the basis
of mankind - if you will visit your guests with presents, you will get
them too. If you will be a good neighbor, you will be treated the same.
